R&D consulting + education

offers services in the consultation of glass producers and suppliers to this branch. Services extend to the education of factory staff, the analysis of primary production processes, and glass development.

Courses for factory staff have been performed for glass producers and suppliers alike. They provide recent knowledge in glass science and technology and always build the bridge to the needs of production staff.

Industrial Courses

Consultation projects comprised the topics of energy utilization optimization from planning to full-scale test campaigns with a special focus on use of raw materials, furnace performance, and high-T reactions. Another focus is the optimization of glass composition, e.g., for liquidus temperature, hydrolytic stability, elastic properties, or the use as solder glass ceramic systems.

Reinhard Conradt, retired University Professor, now uniglassAC GmbH

Some alt text Reinhard Conradt is a retired professor from RWTH Aachen University, Germany. He has been performing industry related research at Fraunhofer Institute of Silicate Science Würzburg, Germany for 6 years, then served for 10 years as lecturer and industry consultant in an emerging market of Asia (Thailand).
For the past 20 years, he was full professor and Chair of Glass & Ceramic Composites at RWTH Aachen University, Germany. His work has been committed to building bridges between science, especially chemistry, thermodynamics and kinetics, and industrial engineering. This comprises fundamental research as well as the quantitative prediction of chemical reactions involving glasses and the design and evaluation of industrial campaigns.

He has been serving 8 years terms as Collegiate of the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft DFG) and as Curator of the Ernst Abbé Fund, Deutsches Stiftungszentrum. Since 2015, he is president of the German Society of Glass Technology (Deutsche Glastechnische Gesellschaft DGG).

Diploma in Physics, Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry, Sc.D. (Habilitation) in Glass Science & Technology. Industry Award of the German Society of Glass Technology 1986, International Otto Schott Research Award 2001, W.E.S. Turner Award of the International Commission on Glass ICG 2011, Fellow of SGT 2017.
